This varied and rewarding position offers the chance to support an experienced Employment Lawyer while developing expertise across a broad range of legal areas. As a Regulatory Lawyer you will manage a caseload involving litigation, regulatory and employment matters, providing clear, high‑quality legal advice to internal stakeholders. The role offers a mix of autonomy and collaboration, with opportunities to advise on governance and local government law. The Regulatory Lawyer will thrive in a flexible hybrid working environment, combining remote work with office‑based collaboration and court attendance as required.DutiesProviding Legal Advice: Deliver clear and consistent legal guidance across civil, criminal and employment law mattersManaging Casework: Handle a varied caseload, ensuring effective and timely progress of casesSupporting Employment Law: Assist the Senior Employment Lawyer on employment‑related issues and disputesAdvising on Governance: Develop a working knowledge of local government law to support corporate governance and complianceCourt Representation: Attend court hearings and represent the organisation as requiredCollaborative Working: Work closely with legal colleagues to maintain a consistent and high‑quality legal serviceLegal Compliance: Ensure decisions and procedures comply with relevant legislation and best practicePerformance Improvement: Support the Principal Lawyer and Team Leader to deliver high standards and efficient service deliveryCase Management Systems: Maintain accurate records and use legal software to manage workload effectivelyCandidate RequirementsSolicitor, Barrister or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal ExecutivesAdaptable and highly organised to manage case load and projectsKnowledge of civil and /or criminal litigation with an ability to develop in the other areas as well as Employment LawAbility to work professionally and confidently in an organised manner with minimal supervisionA competent IT user, team player and confident managing a wide case loadStrong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with a range of people both internally and externallyBenefitsA generous annual leave entitlement of 31 days (rising to 36 days after 5 years continued local government service), plus Bank HolidaysAn excellent local government pension schemeUse of a free onsite gymSalary sacrifice car & cycle to work schemesA range of local & lifestyle discountsAn employee assistance programme including 24/7 wellbeing helplineApply TodayReady to make your next career move? xpwpeyx Apply today for our Recruitment Team to review.JOB REF: AWDO-P14058#J-18808-Ljbffr
