This leadership position is integral to our client’s success in delivering quality products and services efficiently.If you're a strategic leader with a passion for operational excellence, with a drive to lead and inspire teams to achieve outstanding results, then this is a fantastic opportunity to join our client as Head of Operations & Logistics.About the RoleAs the Head of Operations & Logistics, you will take full accountability for the daily operations of our client’s transport, warehouse, and logistics teams. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth planning, scheduling, and coordination of shipments, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and teamwork.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide inspirational leadership and take full responsibility for all operational managementOversee daily transport, warehouse, and logistics operations, ensuring seamless executionDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and efficiencyMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs), proactively resolving any issuesIdentify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, creating data-driven solutionsDevelop and implement logistics strategies to optimise costs and service levelsEnsure workforce effectiveness through training, talent management, and succession planningUtilise data to drive productivity, improve stock management, and enhance cost efficienciesEnsure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations and proactive risk managementProvide strategic input on Warehouse Management System (WMS) upgrades and IT projectsKey Metrics for SuccessReduction in operational downtimeImprovements in productivity and cost efficienciesConsistent compliance with safety and quality standardsHigh levels of team engagement and retentionPositive customer feedback on delivery and product qualityAbout YouProven leadership experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain managementStrong strategic thinking with a hands‑on approach to problem‑solving xpwpeyx Data‑driven mindset with the ability to identify trends and implement solutionsExceptional organisational and communication skillsExperience in managing budgets, forecasting, and business planningKnowledge of Health & Safety regulations and best practicesA track record of driving continuous improvement and operational excellencePerks22 days holiday allowance + bank holidaysAs a member of the leadership team, the successful candidate will benefit from AXA Healthcare, alongside our client’s Simply Health cashback schemePlus staff discount on products of 50%.Working hours: 40hpw, with a flexible approach needed at peak times.Generally 8:00am - 4:30pmSimon Acres Recruitment are acting as the employment agency in relation to this vacancy#J-18808-Ljbffr
