Morson are recruiting Electrical Fitters on behalf of our prestigious defence client, for a 6-month initial contract, on site in Portsmouth Naval Base.Make sure to read the full description below, and please apply immediately if you are confident you meet all the requirements.You'll be part of an inclusive culture that values diversity, rewards integrity, and merit, and where you'll be empowered to fulfil your potential.We welcome candidates from all backgrounds and particularly from sections of the community who are currently underrepresented within our industry Salary: Local contractors Standard: PAYE: £20.10 (excluding holiday pay), UMBRELLA: £26.89 Nightshift: PAYE: £25.13 (excluding holiday pay), UMBRELLA: £34.87 Travelling contractors Standard: PAYE: £28.10 (excluding holiday pay), UMBRELLA: £37.75 Nightshift: PAYE: £34.12 (excluding holiday pay), UMBRELLA: £45.73 Job Description:- Ensure safe systems of work are carried out at all times.- Read/Interpret Electrical Drawings, MDS and Guidance information.- Undertake new system fits across all classes of RN vessels.- Install various types of Electrical Equipment associated with an RN vessel such as motors, starters, control panels, Radar and associated equipment, weapons systems, internal and external comms.- Fault diagnosis and defect rectification- Carry out Electrical Testing.- Execute various crimping techniques.ERMA, Gold pin.- Soldering- Terminate multiple types of Cable- Install Cable Support Systems.Cable Tray/Basket/Conduit/Hangers- Install/Reeve cables- Pack various types of glands / transits.Roxtec, RISE, Brattberg.- Terminate multi pin plugs such as 608 and Amphinol.- Remove and install basic mechanical and constructive items as required. xpwpeyx Your Skills and requirements:- Qualification cards- Hold a slinging and fleeting certificate along with an NVQ 2 or 3.- Clear understanding of SHE Risks Awareness- Understanding of manufacturing processes- Must be comfortable working in confined spaces and or at height- Safety certification i.e.SHE Induction, COSHH Awareness, working at height etc- Background in major construction / manufacturing environment Benefits:- Build your portfolio by working on advanced defence project- Opportunities to go permanent and become a BAE employee- Provide security for our country and allies for decades to come Candidate must be flexible to work shift patterns, full rate card available on request.Most importantly successful candidates will be required to gain security clearance before eligible to start on site (we will help you with all paperwork)
