At WSP you can grow and get the opportunity to work on challenging projects with diverse, talented people who help you expand your horizons.A Little More About Your Role…Supporting the Service Team Lead in budgeting and metric tracking, including weekly resourcing and ensuring project hours and GCC utilisation.Driving accountability for budget and program delivery across the team and technical specialists.Disseminating company and team communications and ensuring messages are received.Providing technical leadership and reviewing or authorising reports and bids to maintain quality standards.Supporting local site audits, identifying required action or training needs.Ensuring health and safety compliance, working with the Health and Safety Group on risk assessments, safety critical activities, and standard completion.Promoting the Business Management System and internal processes for all team members.Liaising with Service Team Lead and Sector Leads on Go‑No‑Go decisions, ensuring governance and authorisation.Leading and assisting with major bids, contributing to submissions and demonstrating commercial and technical value.Supporting business development activities through engagement with Sector Leads and external market profile raising activities.Actively engaging in key client relationships and creating cross‑selling opportunities.Obtaining regular client feedback, acting on it, and seeking improvement opportunities.Providing mentoring and coaching for junior team members and supporting the creation of a client‑focused culture.Supporting people managers with people matters, raising issues with HR/ER and providing pastoral support.Communicating staff retention issues or flight risks to the Service Team Lead.Providing technical and/or commercial mentoring to junior staff.Overseeing regional recruitment and aligning with team strategies.Ensuring regional training requirements align with national strategy and competency frameworks.Upholding and promoting WSP values on HSSE, diversity, inclusion and equality.Maintaining a strong office presence in the region.Success CriteriaBusiness Development (internal and external)Project work – fee earningManagement (people, driving growth)QualificationsRelevant technical degree – chemistry, biology, geology, engineering, or environmental science.Working towards or prepared to work towards Chartership / Professional Qualification (e.g., QP) with a relevant institution.The ability to travel.We encourage applications from all suitably qualified and eligible candidates.
