The Role As a Quantity Surveyor, youll be responsible for the commercial and financial management of Groundworks and Civil Engineering projects, ensuring value is maximised and risks are managed effectively.All the relevant skills, qualifications and experience that a successful applicant will need are listed in the following description.Youll work closely with our operations and estimating teams, liaising with clients, site teams, and supply chain partners to ensure projects are delivered on budget and to the highest standard.Key Responsibilities Manage the commercial aspects of multiple Groundworks and Civils projects from tender through to final account.Prepare, submit, and negotiate valuations, variations, and final accounts with contractors and developers.Monitor project costs, forecasts, and budgets to ensure profitability and cashflow.Support the preparation and agreement of subcontractor packages and payments.Maintain strong working relationships with clients, site managers, and supply chain partners.Provide accurate commercial reporting and financial updates to senior management.Assist in tender reviews, cost planning, and commercial risk assessments.Ensure all works comply with contract requirements and company procedures.Requirements Minimum 2 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor within Groundworks or Civil Engineering.Proven experience working with Tier 1 contractors or major housebuilders .Understanding of NEC / JCT contracts .Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general QS software.Strong attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills.Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying or related field preferred.Full UK driving licence.d02fcfcb-6df4-40ee-95cf-3eb059ce3173
