We have big plans to continue growing the business, our products, our technology, and our people.About the roleWe’re seeking an experienced and commercially minded People Director to lead and shape our people strategy, strengthen our culture, and ensure we attract, develop and retain exceptional talent across the business. You'll lead a small, enthusiastic team focused on People Operations, Talent Acquisition, and Learning & Development, where the work is both challenging and highly rewarding.This pivotal role will act as a trusted partner and report directly to our CEO, Rod Lockhart. The People Director will play a central role in defining our People and Talent strategy, supporting the business objectives, steering our business trajectory and fostering a high performance culture where people are at the heart of that success.Strategic LeadershipPartner with the CEO and leadership team to define and deliver the People strategy aligned to the company’s trajectoryAdvise on organisational design and future workforce planning as the business evolvesLead on culture, engagement, and inclusion initiatives that enhance the employee experienceChampion diversity, inclusion, and belonging across all levels of the organisationTalent & CapabilityLead the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment to retention, ensuring a best-in‑class candidate and employee experience, whilst strengthening the company’s employee value proposition and employer brandBuild and embed leadership development and enhance the succession planning frameworks that strengthen the company’s long‑term resilienceOversee talent acquisition and workforce planning to ensure we attract, retain, and develop the best talentPerformance & RewardDrive a performance‑led culture through clear frameworks for accountability, recognition, and progressionEnsure our people policies remain compliant and competitive within the wider financial services and technology marketsPartner with and advise the CEO and leadership on pay benchmarking, market trends and incentive structures that align with company goalsPeople Operations & EngagementLead and oversee People operations, systems, and data reporting to ensure efficiency, compliance, and enhancement; driving a data‑led approach to decision‑making across the people functionManage and provide strategic guidance on employee relations and risk management matters, ensuring fairness and consistency, which are in line with employment law and FCA standardsLead the organisation’s annual compensation and bonus review process, partnering with the CEO to ensure alignment with business performance and market benchmarksCollaborate with the CEO and the Chair of Remuneration and Nomination Committees to deliver quarterly Board materials, offering data‑driven People insights and recommendations to inform strategic decisionsWork closely with both the General Counsel and Finance team to lead the company’s share plan initiativesLead the People team to deliver strategic and engagement initiatives, using data and employee feedback to inform decisions and drive continuous improvementAbout YouProven experience in a senior People leadership role (Head of People / People Director) within a high‑growth FinTech, a lender, bank, or broader financial services environmentProven experience in leading and developing a People function with specialist contributors across all areas of the people cycle, from talent acquisition to payroll and benefits to learning and developmentDemonstrated success in shaping and delivering people strategies that enable growth, transformation, and organisational changeCommercially astute, with the ability to balance people‑first initiatives and business performance, and experience partnering closely with the CEO, Senior Leadership team, and the BoardDeep understanding of UK employment law, HR best practice, and the dynamics of an evolving, fast‑paced businessExceptional communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with credibility at leadership and Board levelPassionate about culture, leadership development, and creating inclusive, high‑performing workplacesBenefits Competitive salary + company bonus scheme 33 days’ holiday (including Bank holidays), increasing with length of service Matched pension contributions up to 4% Support for attending conferences and professional learning & development Regular performance reviews to promote a culture of growth and development Electric car scheme Cycle to work scheme Season ticket loanDiversity, Inclusion & Belonging at LendInvestAt LI we believe in bringing your whole selves to work, we are committed to a culture of belonging where individuals can form a genuine community. xpwpeyx We are proud to be an equal opportunities employer and are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives and skills.Seniority levelDirectorEmployment typeFull‑timeJob functionHuman Resources#J-18808-Ljbffr
