Flexible and remote working are central to our culture.ResponsibilitiesAdvising and assisting clients and in‑house teams in fulfilling their responsibilities under the Building Regulations 2010 (As Amended) and the Building Safety Act 2022.Delivering the Building Regulations Principal Designer function for clients as set out in the Building Regulations 2010 (As Amended) – working with designers to review building regulations compliance in design, and developing practical solutions in line with legislation and best practice.Undertaking a wide range of Building Safety Consultancy duties in line with agreed service deliverables, including building regulation compliance audits and site inspections to ensure compliance is achieved.Reviewing building regulation submission packages, undertaking gap analysis reviews and plan appraisals to identify missing information required to secure building regulation approval, and potentially delivering building regulation compliance training (internal and external).Keeping up to date with relevant legislative and best practice changes.Other Beneficial QualitiesClass 2/3 Registered Building Inspector (not essential but must demonstrate competence working on a range of building types and uses).Experience of PAS45001 and other integrated management systems.About YouStrong background interpreting and applying the building regulations and associated secondary legislation, and a solid understanding of the technical and functional requirements of the Building Regulations 2010.Sound technical Building Regulations knowledge combined with an understanding of design and construction, and capable of delivering a solutions‑focused service with excellent stakeholder‑facing skills.A proactive attitude, willingness to seek guidance from senior colleagues, and a professional manner and outlook.Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other software packages.Relevant professional chartership/accreditation with either CABE, CIOB, RICS.Experience in a similar Building Safety / building regulations compliance / design compliance role.Demonstrable understanding of construction and design.Full UK Driving Licence.Reward & BenefitsEnjoy competitive salaries, employee rewards, and a brilliant range of benefits you can tailor to suit your health, wellbeing, financial and lifestyle choices.
