Job DescriptionHave you got what it takes to succeed The following information should be read carefully by all candidates.To deliver CDM and H&S consultancy services from our Newcastle office to existing and new clients. The scope of services is flexible and depends on the client’s requirements, covering both CDM and H&S Management.The key requirement is to understand the client’s needs, proactively identify solutions, and ensure consistent delivery of service excellence in meeting their expectations.ResponsibilitiesUnderstand and develop existing systems and processes to improve both CDM and H&S efficiency.Provide expert advice and, where required, act as Principal Designer to help the client manage and understand their legal responsibilities in accordance with CDM regulations.Establish positive relations with existing and new clients to gain confidence and become a trusted advocate.Represent Turner & Townsend professionally, meeting, negotiating, and corresponding with clients in a timely manner.Manage all commissions assigned to ensure both client expectations/the scope of service and the requirements of Turner & Townsend’s business management system are effectively discharged.Carry out H&S performance reviews, audits, etc. on behalf of the client.Liaise proactively and professionally with SHQ and wider Turner & Townsend colleagues to contribute to team effectiveness; support others as needed and ensure consistency, quality and profitability of shared projects.Compile and create relevant pre‑construction information and H&S files.QualificationsNEBOSH Construction Certificate.Full UK driving licence.NEBOSH Diploma Level (or equivalent).GradIOSH or equivalent.Membership of the APS.Experience as a Principal Designer.Excellent communication skills.Ability to effectively plan and organise own workload to meet deadlines.Extensive knowledge and experience within the Construction Industry, specifically around the CDM Regulations.Experience of a diverse range of industry sectors is desired; proven ability to meet clients’ needs is an advantage.Additional InformationOur inspired people share our vision and mission.
