We are an international insurer and reinsurer with a local presence in 27 countries.OpportunityQBE EO is expanding its Data and Analytics capability through Collibra for Data Governance and Ataccama for Data Quality. These applications help us automate key Data Management activities, ensuring data is catalogued, lineage captured, quality measured, issues investigated, and reference data managed.We are looking for an experienced Data Quality Lead to join our Data Quality team within the Data Centre of Excellence in our London office.ResponsibilitiesLead the governance of Adjustments, developing an appropriate framework and structure for effective control.Provide governance over the changes required in data flowing between finance and actuarial systems.Manage the month‑end Adjustment process as it transitions from Finance to the Data Excellence team and analyse the process to identify and implement improvements.Work closely with business and technical teams, including reserving managers, financial controllers and system owners to document and resolve Adjustment issues.Where possible, remove manual intervention in the Adjustments process using tools such as Ataccama and Collibra.Ensure the Adjustment process aligns with existing Data Quality processes and enforce best practices for tracking and raising Adjustments and issues.Chair the monthly Adjustments Working Group (AWG), refining Terms of Reference and ensuring appropriate representation.Ensure that communication of Adjustments is clear and that affected stakeholders are fully aware of the implications of changes.Support the implementation of QBE EO’s Data Quality Strategy, covering the identification, assessment and management of Data Quality Issues throughout the data lifecycle.Define and embed Data Quality Rules in Ataccama associated with Business Rules in Collibra, including thresholds, technical rule implementation, profiling and issue review.Provide technical guidance and support to team members, training and support to end‑users.Support the Data Quality Manager and the Data Quality Team across all Data Quality activities.QualificationsPrior experience within the Financial or Insurance industry, dealing with Finance and Actuarial data.Leverage your understanding of core finance and actuarial concepts to interpret and analyse reconciliation results.Experience with Data Quality and Data Governance tools, especially Ataccama and Collibra.Demonstrate a solid understanding of Data Quality best practices and prior experience leading Data Quality activities such as rule definition, profiling and issue management.Knowledge of Data Management frameworks such as DAMA and DCAM.Proficiency in Excel, Python, SQL, Jira and ServiceNow to enhance data handling and process efficiency.Experience with Microsoft BI solutions (including SQL Server).Drive initiatives for process improvement and automation, optimising workflows and increasing productivity.Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines, and to cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders through effective communication.Why QBE?QBE supports a flexible, inclusive workplace, offering benefits such as flexible working, generous holiday, pension contributions, private medical insurance and a strong commitment to sustainability and diversity. xpwpeyx Equal Employment OpportunityQBE is an equal opportunity employer and is required to comply with equal employment opportunity legislation in each jurisdiction it operates.#J-18808-Ljbffr
