Responsibilities The Vice President, Digital and Advanced Ad Sales, Global will be responsible for driving NBCU’s Global digital sales effort; developing sales and go-to-market strategies for NBCUniversal’s Global Digital and Advanced Client offering in conjunction with Sky. This would include, but not be limited to digital video, programmatic, advanced targeting products, streaming and partnership products. This person would represent the NBCUniversal portfolio & Sky to agencies and clients and would work on building strategic and data-driven cross portfolio solutions across all of our digital platforms to deliver on client objectives. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Represent a unified digital offering to global clients across the world • Drive incremental digital revenue across both international portfolio of assets as well as domestic assets through global deals • Support development of Global digital products to bring to market CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS • A single point of contact for clients • Own the annual sales target and develop comprehensive marketplace strategy to deliver • Develop forward-thinking integrated packages and programs leveraging all NBCU and Sky’s digital products to meet client objectives • Leverage data-driven analysis to present recommendations that align with client goals. • Represent the entire NBCU & Sky Portfolio in key relationships and deals NEGOTIATION • Negotiate complex deals at top management level that affect major aspects of advertising sales division performance; pursue and close challenging and strategic accounts • Develop and execute sales strategy across all platforms to maximize revenue • Make deal decisions across portfolio in conjunction with internal sales partners LEADERSHIP • Work closely with Global Sales and Planning to drive strategy • Evaluate the performance of advertising sales programs against desired outcomes • Identify gaps in product portfolio and work with Product Strategy to develop solutions • Partner with Sky counterparts to develop holistic global strategy inclusive of product vision • Perform periodic performance reviews to determine employee eligibility for, among other things, merit increases, bonuses and promotional and transfer opportunities COMMUNICATION • Internally serve as Brand Leader and develop tools and messaging to all internal parties • Represent NBCU and Sky in Ad Sales business community and manage relationships with various constituents • Communicate and collaborate internally with other departments including Pricing & Planning, Marketing, Research, Marketing and Client Solutions both at NBCU and Sky Qualifications/Requirements QUALIFICATIONS • Extensive Sales/Sales management experience • VP level sales management with multi-platform sales experience • Established network of contacts and relationships within the ad sales business community • Deep knowledge of the digital media / social media ecosystem, including advertising models with a strong focus on syndicated content and audience based sales strategies; strong technological savvy and solid comprehension of the ad tech marketplace is imperative • Outstanding strategy skills; a well-developed understanding of consumer behaviors and usage patterns; knows how to move quickly to seize opportunities in a rapidly changing media landscape and formulate innovative and effective initiatives and sales programs that advance revenue and overall business objectives • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal and external partners and constituencies to execute programs in a unified effort using best practices • Consistent track record of achievement in increasing / maximizing sales revenue and profitability across multiple products and offerings • Proven leader in building, managing, and retaining a highly-motivated and world-class consumer digital sales force across multiple regional and international offices • Broad and deep contacts in the advertising industry, and an in-depth knowledge of the current marketplace for online, mobile and wireless advertising; impeccable reputation • Exceptional influencing skills and preferred experience working across many areas and levels of an organization • Analytical / strategic thinker, creative problem solver, resourceful, able to initiate change and motivate innovation and creativity • Strong leader and persuasive communicator with a vision; proven ability to self-motivate, work independently as well as collaboratively and motivate and inspire a team; excellent writing and verbal presentation skills ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS • Interested candidates must submit a resume/CV through nbcunicareers.com to be considered • Must be willing to work in London, UK (preferred) with the possibility of New York, US • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation • Willingness to travel and work overtime • Must be 18 years or older DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS • Excellent client relations skills • Demonstrates strong executive-level presentation, leadership and interpersonal skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines • Demonstrates a proactive approach and takes initiative to be innovative • Experience in successfully communicating at all levels both verbally and in writing • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and be detail-oriented • Bachelor’s degree with an Advanced degree preferred
