'Utilities Brand of the Year' in 2020 - but we're only just getting started.The RoleIn a nutshell, we want a creative animator who can evolve our animation style to bring excitement to the UW brand. We're looking for someone to support our ever growing Creative team, who possess a creative passion for improving their own craft as well as evolving and pushing on the UW brand through motion.Exemplary craft skills and attention to detail are a must; applied to everything from simple social assets and campaigns to collaborating with our Film team on larger narrative driven video content, you'll help the department answer a variety of engaging and challenging briefs from around the business.What you will doYou'll take your lead from the Brand and Communications team and help us to improve the quality and efficiency of our creative outputs.You'll work closely with the marketing and creative teams across a range of varied projects and requests.We'll need you to manage a number of briefs at one time, and deliver these on time, on brand while constantly looking to improve the quality.It's essential that you can flex from concepting and ideation to delivery of finished assets in equal measure, day to day.You'll assist with the development of creative for digital campaigns.You're brimming with new ideas, insights, processes and techniques to better the ways of working and the output of the business.A bit more about youYou've held an animation role for 5-7 years or more in either an in-house team or brand and design agency..2D Experience is essentialYou can interpret a brief and turn it into digestible content.You've got good presentation skills and can talk about your thoughts and ideas with confidence.You've got a great knowledge of digital communications; formats, specifications, and platforms.You love to storyboard the ideas in your head, and turn a static image into a narrative through motion.You are a master in a variety of software including Adobe Creative Suite, and After Effects. Preferably you'll also have experience in other platforms such as Premiere Pro, Cinema 4D, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Animate, Redshift or similar rendering softwareYou've got the ability to illustrate and bring creative flare to existing assets.One of our business tools is the G Suite; Gmail, Gdrive, Google Slides, Google Docs etc, so you'll know your way around that too.You pick up subtle nuances, and you love the challenge of applying these to your own work while pushing and developing an existing established style.This is your opportunity to join an established and dynamic business that's going through significant change and has huge growth potential.A very competitive basic salary, some great benefits and the potential to join our share option scheme.UW's offices are based in Colindale, North London.
