Our client is a leading independent business providing services into the NHS and private healthcare organisations across the UK. A private equity backed business, they are incredibly fast paced and have a compelling vision for future growth. Crucial to achieving their growth plans is the appointment of an experienced Business Development Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving income growth, identifying new opportunities, and building trusted relationships. The ideal candidate will already have in-depth knowledge and experience of selling services into the NHS, building relationships with finance and procurement teams to secure contract wins. This role is covering the whole of the UK so can be based anywhere. Responsibilities include: Working alongside the CEO on a go to market strategy which has an immediate revenue impact. Demonstrating the ability to identify, relentlessly pursue and win new contracts from day one and driven to achieve ambitious financial targets. The ability to influence and persuade clients to consider changing their service provider in a market with high customer loyalty. Manage a sales process through a CRM as well as identify quick win opportunities. Commercially astute, designing and delivering a commercial sales strategy which will demonstrate high net growth whilst having the ability to understand commercial risks and ensure that any proposals are designed to mitigate the impact on the business. Manage, lead, and design client quotations, pitches and commercial bid and tendering opportunities through to the negotiation of the commercial agreements. Alongside this, ensure that all future opportunities and associated risks are fully scoped, pipelined and won. Take time to fully understand the customers challenges to ensure that an effective and efficient solution is delivered every time. Demonstrating a high level of analytical ability and the use of existing data to build a strategic plan with a strong commercial focus.
