Due to continued success our client are looking for a client foucsed Graduate to join the Northampton Team to help with ambitious plans within their Distribution Network. Previous experience within Transport or Distribution as a placement year, part time or full time is preferred, however not essential as full training is provided. Generally graduates start in Operation based roles in the main operation offices with heavy emphasis on progression. Initial duties will involve: Planning/routing Driver debrief - excellent communication required Tachograph analysis Resource allocation Communication Damaged goods procedures Knowledge of legislation Paperwork handling Fuel management Compliance management Any other relevant duties PERSON SPECIFICATION: Degree in business, logistics, analytical or economics related fields Outstanding initiative Excellent work ethic Dynamic, ambitious, driven & self-motivated Proactive Solutions orientated Organised Attention to detail and accuracy Confident communicator Demonstrate experience in the transport/logistics sector - desirable Driving licence and transport is desirable due to location of the offices IT literate, with excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint HOURS OF WORK: The first few weeks during training it may be 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday Then a four on/four off shift pattern could follow 5am -5pm or 6am-6pm SALARY: Circa £21,000 - 24,000 - strong progression (plus extra 3k can be earned) HOLIDAY: Four weeks plus bank holidays, after 3 years entitlement increases by 3 days BENEFITS: Company car or car allowance equivalent once employee has become a planner Discretionary bonus scheme. Pension: After 12 months you can join the Company contributory pension scheme (Employee contributes 6% and Company contributes 6%)
