About the role: Reporting to the Water Modelling Manager for London within Water Asset Management, this is a high-profile role supporting the business in realising financial efficiencies and stakeholder support from the coordination of street works across the water and wastewater programmes. Although sitting in the Asset Management structure, this role will require extensive engagement across the business, bridging Asset Management, Project Definition, Capital Delivery and Operations internally in addition to the Great London Authority (GLA), multiple other utilities and local stakeholders externally, to maximise the benefits achievable from a collaborative approach to street works. This role would suit someone with experience of handling large datasets, stakeholder management and building and maintaining effective professional networks. Proactive engagement is critical to success. You will work with delivery teams to champion collaboration across the business and ensure that a robust and systematic approach to data updates into the Thames Connect collaboration tool is embedded across the business. You will be a key focal point for collaboration within Thames Water and externally and will be expected to represent the business with the Greater London Authority as well as with other stakeholders such as councils or utilities. Key Accountabilities: Communicate the benefits and expectations of collaboration across the business. Set up a robust process for data feed into the Thames Connect tool. Maintenance of data, leading to a high degree of confidence in others when accessing Thames’s data internally and externally. Support departments to incorporate a systematic approach to collaboration appropriate to each programme of work. Analyse, collate and interpret geospatial data from a variety of sources across the business. Provide support to departments to ensure optimal decisions are being made, taking advantage of collaboration opportunities where this is the best approach. Proactively identify and articulate opportunities, reporting internally and externally on progress. Support the development and delivery of the strategy to extend the Thames Connect approach outside of London. Engage with the relevant local authorities working with our Local Government Team. To be successful you will have the following skills and experience: Educated to degree level with further professional/management qualifications or outstanding role-specific experience. Previous experience of handling, reporting and presenting on large quantities of data is essential. Ability to efficiently manage potential issues and understand their impact. Strong technical skills. Ability to build an active network/relationship with different stakeholders within the business is critical. A confident and effective communicator. Strong influencing, negotiating and report writing skills. Travel across Thames Water sites will be required and therefore a full driving licence is essential. What’s in it for you?
