Aiming to Transform Communities and Improve Lives through supporting communities in times of crisis and through building resilient communities for the future. Working with Community Champions based in stores, Asda Foundation provides monetary grant programmes to support communities in the heart of Asda stores. Communities across the UK are diverse and complex and working with Champions in store, we invest over £3million a year in community projects. From soup kitchens to supporting communities hit by floods, ensuring children receive a healthy meal during school holidays to renovating disabled toilets, the grants help all corners of all communities. The Asda Foundation has big ambitions for the year ahead. As Asda Foundation Manager you will have a broad remit and the opportunity to be involved in the day to day running of an independent organisation. With its own governance structures and processes, whilst benefitting from the infrastructure and support of Asda Stores it is a varied role. From grant creation to marketing, financial reporting to the legal requirements of running an independent organisation. The role is fast-paced, managing a team and influencing the direction of travel and priorities whilst supporting groups to be there for their communities when it matters most. Your Role You will be able to demonstrate experience of managing a busy team, be able to successfully manage projects and grant rounds from creation through implementation and evaluation whilst engaging with stakeholders within Asda Stores and building internal relationships with the board of trustees. You will work well under pressure, be able to approach work in an agile and resilient way, whilst being mindful of other conflicting priorities. Experience of working for a charity is not essential but a drive and passion to improve communities and make a social difference in society is key. About You You will be organised and one step ahead in pre-empting the needs of the team whilst identifying relevant grant programmes for communities. You will be a confident presenter with the ability to produce succinct and engaging presentations and reports and confident leading and influencing stakeholders at all levels. You will have an interest in understanding how a charity functions and be open to learning new skills to ensure Asda Foundation is a leading grant-making entity.
