Nursery Chef (Children's Day Nursery) – Full Time Join to apply for the Nursery Chef role at Pippa Pop-ins. We’re looking for someone with experience as a chef or kitchen assistant who is passionate about working with children. Qualifications Minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene/Food Safety certification Previous experience working in a busy kitchen Knowledge of allergens and dietary requirements Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work effectively as part of a team Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children First Aid and CPR certification (preferred) Knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation governing childcare (e.g., Safeguarding) Benefits Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications Opportunities for professional development and training Supportive work environment with a friendly team Paid time holidays Company pension scheme Duties Provide high‑quality assistance to the kitchen team in preparing nutritious meals for children aged 0‑5. Assist with in‑room lunch service and food‑based activities, ensuring they are stimulating and engaging. Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. Collaborate with other staff members to support children's individual needs. Assist with ensuring the kitchen is clean, organized, and well‑maintained at all times. Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure the well‑being of all children and staff.
