Location: Cambridgeshire
Our Client is a fast growing, value driven CRO in the biotechnology research sector. They provide a high quality service to their customers in a number of industries including pharmaceuticals and diagnostics. Their values play a key role in the way they work and the high standard of the products they produce.
They are looking for a senior scientist to join their drugs development solutions team to lead LC-MS activities specifically for the quantitation of peptides and proteins within biological fluids.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and develop quantitative LC-MS bioanalytical methods
- Validating assays in line with regulatory guidance and internal SOPs
- Provide bioanalytical support in troubleshooting methodologies and instrumentation
- Engaging in continuous improvement, investigating, and implementing new technologies to improve service offering
Skills Required:
- Degree in pharmaceutical science, chemistry, biochemistry, biological science, or equivalent
- An in-depth knowledge and experience in protein / peptide bioanalytical LC-MS method development and troubleshooting
- Demonstrated experience in training and mentoring others
- Familiarity with the GLP/GCP guidelines associated with bioanalytical work
- Experience with high resolution mass spectrometry applied to proteins or peptides would be desirable
- Understanding of hybrid LC-MS techniques and application of automated workflows would be desirable
- Understanding of protein chemistry would be desirable
