ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging, tailored lessons for groups of 1-2 studentsProvide focused academic and pastoral support to learners with SEMH or additional needsFoster a safe, positive, and supportive learning environmentHelp pupils develop confidence, resilience, and positive behaviourMonitor student progress and share feedback with the wider teaching teamWork collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and external professionalsPrepare learning resources and maintain an organised classroom environmentUphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote the welfare of all pupilsQualifications & RequirementsUK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)Strong teaching experience, ideally within mainstream, SEN, or alternative provisionAbility to plan and deliver high-quality lessons for small groupsSecure understanding of the national curriculum and effective differentiationExperience working with students with behavioural, SEMH, or additional needs (highly desirable for PRUs)Excellent behaviour-management skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationshipsStrong communication, adaptability, and teamwork skillsA valid DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain oneQuantum Scholars are delighted to be supporting a Pupil Referral Unit in Wokingham, Berkshire, who are seeking a passionate and dedicated qualified Primary teacher/tutor to join their team as soon as possible for an initial one-term placement.
