This is a full-time, permanent position with the option to work 2-3 days per week in our Maidstone office for a balanced work experience.We are seeking an ambitious Account Handler to join our dynamic Mid Corporate team in Maidstone. Be part of a world-class organisation that values collaboration and inclusion.Responsibilities:Regularly monitoring renewals and new business activity to aid effective planning and resourcingParticipate in team meetings, reporting on business progress within your area of expertiseManage assigned projects and contribute to other projects as requiredReview client documentation to ensure comprehensive and accurate information is presented for the quoting processCollate and communicate client requirements to ensure appropriate marketing of the riskLiaise with clients to resolve queries and respond to market and third-party queries as appropriateProduce high-quality market documentation, securing appropriate authorisationsWork with underwriters to place insurance that balances quality, coverage, and priceProcess data promptly and accurately on relevant systems to support client service and internal processesMaintain accurate and timely documentation for clients, ensuring proper organisation of records.Conduct due diligence/sanctions checks in line with company proceduresAdhere to company policies, procedures, and obtain required authorisationsFoster and nurture positive relationships with colleagues and external contactsProvide support and assistance to senior colleagues and/or their clients on requestDeal with or refer client enquiries, renewals, and mid-term adjustmentsRequirements:Understanding of general and legal principles of insurance and knowledge of relevant regulatory and legal frameworksFamiliarity with the market, including competitors, specific territories, and cultural awarenessExperience in an account handling or technical role within mid-corporate insurance is essential.Good understanding of team objectives and how own role contributesAn analytical yet approachable standout colleague, keen to build sustainable relationships with his team and clients alikeSomeone with a customer-focused approach, able to work independently and flexibly to achieve tight deadlines.Attention to detail and willingness to learnCalm and resilient under pressure; ability to positively react to changeQualifications:GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)A levels (desirable)What do we offer in return?A career that you define.
