Job Title: Pharmacy Technician Band 5/6 (ACT/MMT)
Location: Sheffield (NHS Hospital)
Duration: 3-6 month contract
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm (30-minute break) - part-time (3-4 days) considered
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: Rolling (3-6 months initially)
Rate of Pay: £17ph-£25ph (dependent on band and experience)
What You'll Be Doing: Join our team as a Pharmacy Technician (ACT/MMT) and support the delivery of efficient and accurate pharmaceutical care in a dynamic NHS hospital setting. In this role, you will:
- Carry out general dispensary duties including labelling, dispensing, and stock control.
- Perform accuracy checking duties as an ACT (Accredited Checking Technician).
- Support medicines management tasks on wards (if MMT trained).
- Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and effective services.
- Maintain high standards of documentation and patient confidentiality.
Requirements & Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current and valid GPhC registration.
- ACT qualification and/or ward-based MMT experience.
- Previous NHS hospital experience (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Working Hours & Contract Duration: This full-time role requires availability Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm with a 30-minute break. Flexible working options are available - 3 or 4 days per week may be considered. The contract is for 3-6 months, with potential for extension based on service needs.
