What you will be doing: With previous experience from the NHS or private care, you will oversee and provide high-quality care and support to women with complex Mental Health needs, while supporting your team and colleagues and promote good teamwork. As a Charge Nurse, you’ll lead and coordinate the quality and management of nursing care and delivering of clinical services, ensuring the day-to-day operations of your unit is performing well. You’ll also be responsible for: Delegate nursing tasks to Nurses working in the unit and coordinate with other teams Monitor service users’ conditions and respond to changes Supervise other members within the team's unit and provide guidance and support Make critical decisions regarding service user assignments, staff scheduling, and resource allocation Be liaison between nursing staff and other healthcare professionals, with effective communication and collaboration Things that you will have: A relevant nursing qualification NMC registration (must be RNLD) A positive attitude and be naturally caring and compassionate A commitment to high-quality care and to values and evidence-based practice Relevant experience in a similar environment Proven track record of leadership skills Where you will be working: Location: The Farndon Unit, Farndon Road, Newark, Nottinghamshire, NG24 4SW You will be working at the Farndon Unit, a purpose-built low secure hospital that offers personalised assessment and recovery-based treatment pathways, including a trauma-specific pathway, for women with complex care needs. You will join the multidisciplinary team in providing specialist care for people with a diagnosis of severe and enduring mental illness and/or personality disorder and/or mild learning disability. The combination of general low secure wards and a recovery ward area (also within the low secure perimeter) provide a seamless internal care pathway supporting and empowering recovery and rehabilitation.
