About The Role
Right across infrastructure, there’s a requirement to not only maintain, but also renew and reimagine. Whatever stage you’re at in your career, with us you’ll have an opportunity to grow and develop. Delivering essential infrastructure services for life, while being safety first, and client and customer centric in a friendly, fun and respectful environment where you are encouraged to thrive.
Where will you be working?
At M Group Highways, we’re supporting the safe transportation and movement of people across the UK.
We don’t just build roads and bridges- we’re building a better future, creating lasting social value that gives back to the communities in which we work.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Higher Apprentice Site Engineer to join our Civils projects team. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in building technical knowledge, developing practical skills, and growing your confidence as part of a supportive and experienced team. You’ll learn alongside our experienced engineers how to be responsible for the daily control, management, and coordination of construction activities on site to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the required safety, environmental and quality standards. With the support of your work-based mentor, your responsibilities will increase as your skills and technical knowledge develop.
What training will you do and what qualification will you get at the end?
You'll enrol onto the Level 4 Civil Engineering Technician Apprenticeship delivered in partnership with one of our college or training providers.
This qualification not only equips you with technical knowledge and practical skills, but also supports progression toward professional recognition, such as Engineering Technician (EngTech) status with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
As a Higher Apprentice, you will be recruited on a permanent contract. Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship, you’ll be well-positioned to progress onto a Degree Apprenticeship and eventually become a Site Engineer, with a rewarding career path at M Group.
