We are looking for highly motivated Health Care Assistants to join our team in Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) at Glan Clwyd YGC. Responsibilities Assist registered nurses (or other healthcare practitioners) in providing high quality patient care. Maintain patients' privacy and dignity at all times, providing care in a compassionate and sensitive manner. Contribute as an effective member of the multidisciplinary team toward departmental objectives. Continually develop and maintain competencies in nursing tasks to ensure high quality, safe care. Support housekeeping and ward/department duties, including tidying, stock level monitoring, and ensuring clinical equipment is clean, working and stored correctly. Work under direct or indirect supervision of registered practitioners or assistant practitioners. Main duties of the job Assist patients with daily activities. Support patients with personal care. Communicate with patients. Check vital signs, monitor and take observations. Assist nursing staff when necessary. Keep departments tidy and ensure equipment is clean. Serve meals and help patients eat. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
