Political Affairs Programme Join to apply for the Political Affairs Programme role at The Borgen Project. The Borgen Project believes that leaders of the most powerful nations should do more to address global poverty. The national campaign works to make poverty a focus of U.S., Canadian, and U.K. foreign policy. The programme focuses on making poverty a priority in U.S., Canadian, and U.K. foreign policy. It is a part‑time, 12‑hour per week, 12‑week, unpaid remote programme. If your availability is limited, you can work ahead and complete the programme in fewer weeks. Responsibilities Lead public and political outreach in your state and district. Meet with members of Congress/Government in your state/district/constituency. Represent The Borgen Project at various business, political and community events. Assist with fundraising; create a personal fundraising campaign and meet targets. Mobilize individuals to contact their members of government in support of key poverty‑reduction legislation. Speak to groups, classes and organizations. Write letters of support for key programs to political leaders, media and other groups. Experience No prior experience is necessary. We’re looking for people who are passionate about fighting poverty and righting wrongs, regardless of your GPA or background. Details Unpaid programme; college credit may be available.
