Overview HGV Class 1 (LGV C+E) Night Drivers - Gateshead Night Shifts Start Between 4:00pm - 6:00pm Competitive Pay Rates: £17.75 - £20.75 per hour (PAYE) The Best Connection are seeking to recruit HGV Class 1 (LGV C+E) Drivers to work with our client based in Gateshead. Our client is expanding their transport team to support outbound deliveries of packaging products across the UK. Responsibilities Trunking runs to set locations around England Night shifts start between 4:00pm and 6:00pm Drivers are welcome to work day shifts, night shifts, or both Speed, efficiency, and accuracy are essential to ensure on-time deliveries This is a customer-facing role requiring a professional and friendly approach Induction and driving assessment required before starting Qualifications Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) licence Minimum 1 year of commercial Class 1 driving experience Smart appearance and positive, professional attitude Excellent written and verbal communication skills Hours of Work Night shifts start between 4:00pm and 6:00pm Flexible scheduling with shifts offered on an ad hoc basis Plenty of ongoing work for suitable candidates Pay Rates (PAYE) £17.75 per hour - Monday to Friday (Night shifts) Day shift pay rates available on enquiry £19.75 per hour - Saturday (Night shifts) £20.75 per hour - Sunday and Bank Holidays (Night shifts) Benefits of working with The Best Connection Competitive pay rates 24/7 support from dedicated consultants Pension contributions Online payslips Holiday accrual Personal accident insurance Ongoing assignments Access to 'Perks at Work' - exclusive benefits for temporary workers Interested candidates can apply to register online.
