Digital & IT OfficerJob OverviewLocation: Nelson House, Whitecross Road, Hereford, HR4 0DGSalary: £28,962 – £33,418 per annum (dependent on experience)Contract: PermanentWorking arrangement: Office-based (on‑site Monday – Friday is essential for this role)Hours: 37.5 per weekMain DutiesJoin our small, dedicated Digital & IT team to support colleagues across the organisation and ensure smooth delivery of primary care services.Provide first‑line support for hardware, software and clinical systemsManage assets, procurement and asset registerAdminister Office 365, NHS portals, SharePoint and Active DirectoryOversee network, telephony (IP‑PBX, Wifi, HSCN) and CCTV/Building Management SystemsMaintain websites, TeamNet and internal CRM updatesLead business continuity planning, security audits and risk incident reportingParticipate in IT projects and technical onboarding/off‑boarding of staffCoordinate with 3rd‑party support organisations and contractorsPrimary ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain Digital & IT work schedulesProvide first‑line support for staff on site, remote and other clinical locationsMaintain company asset register and IT equipment stock levelsSupport Central Services, Ops, HR and Clinical Services with IT functionsManage IT requirements during staff inductionPlan and coordinate office systems and communicationsSupport Digital programmes information management systemsUpdate websites and communication platforms via internal CRMCover for team members during leave and critical work periodsDevelop business continuity processes and proceduresAdminister Office 365, NHS portal and associated applicationsManage onboarding and off‑boarding of staff for corporate and clinical systemsMaintain clinical and corporate access to systems (remote and F2F)Administer Active Directory and associated servicesSpecify and procure equipment ensuring value for moneyAdminister mobile phone estate and liaise with supplier for billingManage IP‑telephony platform for corporate and clinical servicesAdminister network infrastructure for Wifi and HSCN connectivity with 3rd‑party supportConfigure clinical rooms and associated access for corporate and clinical systemsUpdate and report on organizational D&I&T risk incidentsConduct scheduled security audits and monitoring tasksAdvise, support and implement areas of work within project workstreamsLead systems and infrastructure management for access control, CCTV and building management platformsCoordinate with contractors for maintenance visits and repairsMaintain accurate contractor records and report concerns to General ManagerAbout YouFlexible, proactive, and ready to thrive in a fast‑paced healthcare environment. Experience in IT support, system administration and network management is essential.
