Overview: A leading secure IT provider is seeking a motivated and ambitious 3rd Line Core Engineer (Grade 11) to join a highly secure Basingstoke-based environment. This role is an excellent entry point into 3rd line engineering, offering hands‑on training, clear progression, and exposure to a wide range of core infrastructure technologies. You'll work within a skilled team while gaining strong operational experience and developing your technical capability. Key Responsibilities: Perform daily infrastructure checks, incident management, triage, and escalation Support a high‑profile user community with regular customer and stakeholder interaction Work with ITSM tools to manage the full incident life cycle Contribute to operational readiness reviews and service release support Support project activity including hardware builds and configuration Carry out hands‑on Windows Server and Active Directory tasks Utilise event management and monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, SCOM, MECM/SCCM, Active Directory, SQL, vCentre, and Trelix (McAfee) Receive structured training across monitoring platforms and tooling environments Environment & Clearance: This position sits within one of the UK's most secure operational environments. DV clearance is essential. Full sponsorship is available for candidates not currently holding DV clearance; however, employment can only begin once clearance has been fully approved.
