About the role We're seeking an experienced Senior Associate or Legal Director seeking partnership, to join our Succession & Tax team who are based in our Bath office. You'll supervise this busy and dedicated team, whilst contributing to business development activities across the Bath region, to drive delivery of our growth strategy. Day to day, you will have a varied caseload, including: Providing tax and estate planning advice to a broad range of clients including high net worth and ultra-high net worth clientsWorking closely with a range of clients including farmers and business owners on succession planningManaging complex probate and estate administration mattersAdvising on creation, restructuring and winding up of trustsProviding advice on Enduring and Lasting Powers of Attorney, as well as Court of Protection matters. This exciting progression opportunity will be based in Bath, with opportunities to work closely with Partners and fee earners at our other offices. About you We're extremely proud of the relationship we've built with our clients and referrers, being recognised as their trusted legal partner. It's important to us that you have the right blend of skills to service their needs and develop new relationships. You'll be a qualified Solicitor or CILEX with higher rights, bringing significant relevant experience including: Tax and estate planning expertise, advising a broad range of clients including high net worth and ultra-high net worth clientsManaging complex probate and estate administration mattersAdvising on creation, restructuring and winding up of trustsAdvising on Enduring and Lasting Powers of Attorney, as well as Court of Protection mattersAdvising farmers and business owners on succession planning would be highly desirableLeadership skills with the ability to supervise and nurture junior members of staffStrong Business Development skills and ability to generate referralsExemplary client service skills and the ability to understand and meet the needs of our clientsAbility to work alongside other teams in a holistic approach to meet the client’s needsGood communication skills and ability to support and supervise junior members of staffSTEP Membership or working towards it What's on offer By joining Thrings you’ll become part of a supportive, inclusive firm offering a relaxed and trusting environment allowing balance between being in the office and working from home.
