About The Role HC-One are looking for an Assistant Chef with at least a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate and a strong understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points. It’s all about your positive energy, natural ability to get along with people, organisational skills, meeting deadlines, presenting food attractively and following recipes perfectly. You’ll communicate with Residents or co‑workers with consideration and kindness. As an Assistant Chef at HC-One you’ll value kindness above all. You’ll cook and serve nutritious, healthy meals that Residents will love. You’ll provide outstanding support to the First Chef, take charge in their absence, manage food stock, budget, coach colleagues or supervise kitchen clean‑up, always with Resident wellbeing in mind. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility; you must recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect, attend safeguarding training, and report concerns appropriately.
