Vacancy Summary At Severfield, we’re creating better ways to build for a world of changing demands. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Production Team Leader based at our Dalton, Thirsk site. Working hours are Monday‑Thursday 06:30‑16:30, Friday 06:30‑12:30. Responsibilities Manage and lead a team of employees, communicating company goals, safety practices and deadlines to the team while working closely with the Production Managers. Motivate the team and assess performance. Recruit new team members, train new members and existing members, and update the managers with any training needs within the team. Ensure all members within the team work safely and efficiently and are deployed in the correct areas to maximise outputs and quality in a cost‑effective manner in accordance with targets. Be responsible for the safe operation of the part of the works under your control, ensuring all safety measures are maintained and safety instructions and safe working practices are followed. Deliver toolbox talks to employees and contractors as when necessary, and ensure that all PPE is available, used and maintained by employees; keep a record of issues and maintenance where appropriate. Qualifications Show strong leadership, take responsibility and be assertive. Plan work and set targets for the team. Have previous knowledge of the day‑to‑day running in a steel fabrication environment. Possess appropriate trade/operational training and qualifications.
