Lead Technician Tiverton HSSU Hub Sterilisation Services Permanent Full time 26000 per annum dependent on experience 37.5 hours per week - Alternating shift - (Wk. 1 - Weds to Fri 9am-7pm & Sat 4pm to 2am) - (Wk. 2 - Weds to Fri 12pm to 10pm & Sat 4pm to 2am) Additional hours will be offered as overtime or TOIL depending on workloads. Between 7pm and 7am hours are paid at 30% enhancement rate and weekends at 20%. Bank Holidays paid as double time if required with time back in lieu. The opportunity Based in our state of the art Sterile Services Unit your work will be varied stimulating and will involve the cleaning disinfection inspection packaging and sterilization of surgical joining us youll be making a significant contribution to Patient Safety in both Private and NHS Hospitals. As our HSSU Lead Technician you will : Help lead a Team of HSSU Process Technicians. Assist is organising the workload to ensure Customer requirements are met. Ensure that process equipment and accessories are in full working order and that all faults and anomalies are reported. Solve issues / problems and escalade where necessary. Deal with Customer queries. The person To succeed as a HSSU Lead Technician you will need : To be enthusiastic and motivated. To have good organisational skills post holders will be required to maintain accurate records / documentation in accordance with statutory and organisational policies and procedures. To maintain a clean and tidy working environment whilst checking medical devices for cleanliness functionality and damage and taking action to rectify any problems and escalating issues where necessary. To monitor stock issues as they arise and advise their line manager when goods need to be re-ordered. You will need to have : A basic standard of general education with proven literacy and numeracy. Evidence of previous sterile services training. A knowledge of Endoscopes and their reprocessing Good communication skills verbal and written and basic computer literacy.
