General Foreman – Earthworks/ RemediationHome » Civil » General Foreman – Earthworks/ RemediationSalary: £45,000 - £60,000 DOELocation: OxfordshireRegions: Buckinghamshire, East Midlands, Midlands, Milton Keynes, Oxfordshire, West Midlands We are currently seeking an Earthworks / Remediation General Foreman to work for a main Civil Contractor who works across the UK specializing a variety of civil engineering sectors with a primary focus on a Bulk Earthworks / Remediation package on very prestigious infrastructure scheme The Ideal Candidate must have previous bulk earthwork/ remediation experience working within the construction industry and leading a sizable team Responsibilities:Coordinate the day to day operations of the siteEnsure adherence to relevant policies and proceduresControl and monitor all activities on siteSupport the achievement of perfect deliveryEnsure the daily programming of all site works is performed in accordance with the company construction programIn conjunction with the project manager, site engineer and construction manager plan and review overall status of project(s) on an ongoing basisEnsure all site resource (labour, machinery, materials, sub-contractors etc) are effectively utilised and monitored in order to achieve timely completion of projectsIdentify and record any possible variations to the contract, ensuring the project manager / construction manager is promptly notifiedEnsure that all statutory requirements are adhered to on site at all timesMake a deliberate effort to gain a full understanding and working knowledge of the Company’s SHEQ policies and procedures, ensuring all site personnel adhere to them at all times.Ensure the appropriate safety equipment is worn by site personnel at all timesEnsure that all requests to perform unsafe work practices that may result in damage to machinery, people or property are declinedEnsure all the applicable quality checklists are properly completedAs an experienced foreman you will ideally be educated to NVQ Level 3, you will have experience working on large projects and have previous experience at supervisory level.
