Salary: Up to £70,000 Role: Critical Engineering Manager – responsible for ensuring continuous uptime of a vital Control Room within the Critical National Infrastructure. Experience in similar critical environments is essential. Knowledge of Control Room operations across Energy, Data Centres, Utilities, Transport, Defence, Pharmaceutical, or Bio‑Medical sectors is required. Additional sector experience is welcome. In this role you will lead a team of Engineers conducting Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and breakdown work on building services systems within the control room environment, including HVAC, plant rooms and UPS electrical systems. Experience in Hard FM engineering management within a Critical Engineering sector is essential. Experience Criteria CNI Sector Experience Experience of VESDA Gas Suppression System Understanding of regulatory frameworks (NIS Directive, ISO 27001, OG86) Managing or supporting continuous operations including shift-based teams Familiarity with incident escalation and handover protocols Control Room Systems Knowledge Hands‑on experience with SCADA, BMS, EMS, or other real‑time monitoring/control systems Understanding of system resilience, failover and redundancy Leading multidisciplinary technical teams (engineering, IT, OT) Proven ability to manage performance, training and development in high‑pressure environments Incident & Crisis Management Leading or supporting major incident responses Familiarity with emergency procedures, root cause analysis and post‑incident reviews Cybersecurity awareness & understanding of cyber risks in OT/ICS environments Experience working with security protocols, threat detection and compliance Delivering technical upgrades or transformation projects in live operational environments Stakeholder engagement with regulators, clients and emergency services Strong communication and reporting skills Compliance & Audit Readiness Maintaining audit trails, documentation and compliance with industry standards Familiarity with HSE, ISO and other relevant standards Resilience & Adaptability – staying calm under pressure, making decisions quickly and adapting to evolving threats or operational challenges Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Full‑time Job function Engineering and Information Technology Industries Construction Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Trevett Project Services by 2×.
