Cover Supervisor Part Time - Lliswerry High School Salary: Grade 5 SCP 12 - 17 £28,598 - £31,022 Post No. NCC010347 This is a fixed-term position until 19th July 2026, with the possibility of extension subject to funding and/or business needs. Working Pattern: Wednesday-Friday 08:20 - 15:10 (Total 20h 20m) We are looking for a highly motivated and flexible individual with relevant work experience. The role would be ideal for graduates wishing to gain experience in order to enter a career in teaching or who would like to further their career working with young people. Applications from NQTs or teachers with QTS are also welcome. Key Responsibilities: Cover lessons during short-term absence of the class teacher, following suitable work set by the teacher. Supervise learners whilst they complete set tasks, manage behaviour and support learners in completion of work. Deliver information provided by the teacher or Head of Department; no marking or planning required. Support general school administration when demand for cover is low. Requirements: Good standard of written and spoken English. Capacity to develop curriculum knowledge. Excellent communication skills, computer literate, self-starter with initiative. Confidence and ability to engage with young people in a positive manner. Previous experience of working with young people is desirable. You will be committed to your own personal development and ready to take advantage of the training provided.
