2026 Graduate Electrical Engineer - Leeds Hoare Lea is a human‑centric, planet‑conscious engineering consultancy focused on intelligent and sustainable solutions across the built environment. About The Role As a graduate engineer you will be exposed to a wide range of live projects from day one, working across sectors such as healthcare and hospitality. You will produce detailed designs and drawings, use the latest computer modelling software (Revit, Dialux, Relux, Electrical OM), undertake site surveys, research ground‑breaking technologies and engage in continuous CPD and learning opportunities. Your daily tasks will involve designing and creating electrical circuits, wiring and lighting. Responsibilities Design and develop electrical circuits, wiring and lighting for live projects. Produce detailed design drawings using Revit, Dialux, Relux and Electrical OM. Undertake site surveys and research cutting‑edge technologies. Collaborate with project teams, meet clients and attend collaborative meetings. Participate in continuous professional development (CPD) and learning opportunities. Qualifications Expected 2.1 or above IET or CIBSE accredited degree, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering. Masters or relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage. Previous placement or work experience in a similar industry is an advantage. Understanding of CAD or similar modelling software is an advantage. Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills. Ability to work in a team environment and independently. Friendly, ambitious and confident individual with a flexible and resilient approach.
