Job Overview A fantastic school in Westbury is looking for a Graduate (Criminology or Psychology would be relevant) to work as a Learning Support Assistant from Monday to Friday, to start ASAP. The school caters for pupils who have a range of social and emotional difficulties, as well as challenging behaviours and low self-esteem. You will play a significant role to ensure the students make positive choices, helping to guide their behaviour and increase their engagement in and outside the classroom. Responsibilities Work 1:1 and in group settings with vulnerable students. Support students facing anxiety, social withdrawal, anger issues, trauma, grief and social difficulties. Help students make positive choices and guide their behaviour. Increase student engagement in and outside the classroom. Qualifications Graduate level with a degree in Criminology, Psychology or a related field. Empathetic individual with an interest in Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. Motivated to work with challenging behaviours and mental health difficulties.
