Primary Job Title Electro/Mechanical Assembler Alternate/Related Job Titles Electromechanical Technician Manufacturing Assembler – Medical Devices Mechanical Assembly Technician Electrical Assembly Operator Instrument Manufacturing Associate Location Newark, DE Onsite Flexibility Onsite Contract Details Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: 12.5 months Start: September 11, 2025 End: October 2, 2026 Shift/Hours: 1st Shift | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM | 40 hours/week Job Summary We are seeking an Electro/Mechanical Assembler to support the production of medical devices. This role involves hands‑on assembly, in‑process testing, documentation, and support of reconditioned and new instruments. The ideal candidate will be experienced with both mechanical and electrical assembly, as well as inspection and testing tools. Compliance with QSR, ISO, and EH&S policies is a core requirement. Key Responsibilities Assemble sub‑assemblies and full system‑level hardware per specifications Perform in‑process testing and inspection of assemblies Complete Device History Record (DHR) documentation Support the assembly and testing of reconditioned hardware Package final products in compliance with Instrument Manufacturing protocols Maintain adherence to QSR, ISO, and EH&S policies and practices Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, torque tools, crimpers, and soldering irons Perform mechanical inspections using tools like calipers and indicators Conduct basic electrical testing with multimeters Participate in internal audits and risk reduction initiatives Train team members as needed Perform other assigned duties within manufacturing operations Required Experience Hands‑on experience with electromechanical assembly Familiarity with hand tools, test equipment, and manufacturing documentation Experience in a regulated environment (e.g., medical device manufacturing) Nice‑to‑Have Experience Packaging and labeling in an FDA‑compliant setting Reconditioning and servicing instrumentation Required Skills Mechanical and electrical assembly Tool handling and precision assembly Inspection and documentation skills Preferred Skills Familiarity with QSR, ISO, and EH&S standards Experience training or mentoring others Participation in audits or compliance checks Additional Skills Test procedures and mechanical drawing interpretation Multimeter and caliper use Risk mitigation awareness Collaboration across manufacturing functions Benefits Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans 401k Retirement Fund About the Client Innovative medical technology company empowering healthier lives.
