Plumber (Residential)

Location: Essex
Reports to: Plumbing Service Manager

Join the Team Protecting Homes and the Planet

Our client is leading the charge in transforming how homeowners and insurers protect properties from one of the biggest causes of damage — water leaks. Their smart leak detector connects to the home Wi-Fi network and alerts customers to potential leaks before they turn into disasters.

Every year, water leaks cause over $17 billion in damage in the UK and US combined. Our client’s product stops that in its tracks — saving water, reducing waste, and protecting homes. They partner with multiple major insurers across the UK, Europe, and the USA and are expanding fast.

If you’re a skilled plumber who loves solving problems, enjoys meeting customers, and wants to be part of a mission-driven company using technology for good — this is your chance to make a real impact.

The Role:

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Plumbing Technician to join our client’s field team in Essex. You’ll be the face of our client in customers’ homes — finding and fixing leaks, and helping people understand how the product keeps their homes safe.

You’ll have the freedom of the road, a well-equipped van, and the support of a friendly, innovative team who care about doing things right.

What You’ll Do:

* Diagnose and repair mains water leaks in residential properties — providing a smooth, reassuring service every time.

* Help customers understand how our client’s product protects their homes, from first visit to final fix.

* Capture data and feedback to help improve the product and service.

* Spot signs of escape-of-water damage and prevent further issues before they start.

* Maintain and restock your company van so you’re always ready for the next call.

* Take pride in your work — leave every property clean, tidy, and watertight.

* Contribute ideas and insights to help continually raise the bar.

About You:

You’re a problem-solver with a passion for plumbing and customer care. You take pride in a job well done and enjoy helping people feel safe in their homes.

Essential Skills:

* Fully qualified plumber with experience fixing mains water leaks in homes.

* At least 4 years’ residential plumbing experience.

* Installation experience and a full UK driving licence.

* Comfortable using mobile apps, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office.

* Strong communicator with a logical, hands-on approach to problem solving.

* Positive, proactive, and ready to go the extra mile for customers.

Desirable:

* Experience with leak detection technology or water monitoring systems.

What You’ll Get:

* Competitive salary and benefits package.

* Company van, tools, and uniform provided.

* Full training in our client’s technology.

* Supportive, forward-thinking team culture.

* Opportunities to grow as the service scales across the UK and beyond.

Our Clients Values:

How we work matters as much as what we do.

Dare to Care – Support others, stay positive, and take pride in your craft.
Do the Right Thing – Be open, honest, and reliable.
Own It – Take responsibility and find solutions.
Always Improve – Keep learning, keep innovating.
Win Together – Share, collaborate, and celebrate success as a team.

Additional Details:

* Location: Based in Essex, with occasional work across nearby regions.

* Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (typically 8-hour shifts).

* Reporting line: No direct reports — this is a hands-on, field-based role.
