DPD is a Valuable 500 company and a Disability Confident Employer. Job Description The Warehouse Operative is critical to the safe and efficient movement of parcels within our depots. This role ensures DPD maintains its commitment to exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities Unload, scan, sort and load parcels with precision and care. Ensure swift and secure transit of items through the network. Handle large and heavy parcels (up to 25 kg). Maintain physical capability to meet job demands. Adhere to shift patterns as part of our 365‑day operational schedule. Uphold strict health and safety standards at all times. Demonstrate flexibility to work across various warehouse areas as required. Maintain attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment. Exhibit strong organisational skills to manage workload effectively. Perform duties efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines. Qualifications Strong work ethic and self‑motivation. High attention to detail for accurate parcel handling. Good organisational skills to manage workload and meet targets. Ability to perform efficiently under high‑pressure situations and strict deadlines. Flexibility and willingness to adapt to various roles within the warehouse. Physical capacity to lift, load and carry items up to 25 kg regularly. Some understanding of Health and Safety practices in a warehouse setting is advantageous.
