Locum Outpatient Pharmacy Dispenser

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Pharmacy Dispenser

Location: North London, NHS Hospital Outpatients

Duration: 6 months minimum, with potential for a permanent role

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm (30-minute break), 40 hours per week

Start Date: April/May

End Date: Ongoing

Rate of Pay: £15.50 - £16.00 per hour

What You'll Be Doing:

  1. Support the efficient running of the outpatient dispensary
  2. Accurately label and dispense prescriptions
  3. Use the JAC dispensing system to manage workflow
  4. Work closely with the wider pharmacy team and outpatient staff
  5. Ensure medication safety and service quality standards are upheld

Requirements & Qualifications:

  1. NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services
  2. Previous outpatient dispensary experience
  3. Confidence using JAC dispensing software
  4. Strong attention to detail and communication skills
  5. A proactive attitude and ability to work within a team

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This role requires availability Monday to Friday with standard daytime hours. The contract is a minimum of 6 months with the potential to go permanent, depending on performance and service needs.
