Key Responsibilities Support the drafting of BAT Conclusions. Liaise with Technical Working Groups and present a final document suitable for publication as a new UK-wide environmental standard for industry. Coordinate the work of technical authors. Use smart tools to stay connected and reduce travel (some travel and overnight stays may be required). Maintain an inclusive incident‑management objective and seek an incident role that suits your needs. Requirements & Experience At least 5 years working experience with a solid understanding of environmental regulation across industrial sectors. Strong understanding of UK and EU industrial environmental legislation, including the IED and the Environmental Permitting Regulations. Experience coordinating and reviewing the publication of technical documents. Understanding of the implications of BAT Conclusions in permits, on industry and the environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Planning, prioritising and organising tasks and resources to ensure timely and effective results. Ability to respond flexibly to challenges and build consensus. Experience in technical analysis of complex industrial data. Ability to work effectively with people from different backgrounds and cultures, encouraging diversity issues. Skills & Competencies Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement. Influence and persuade others through evidence-led arguments. Deliver results, set goals, prioritise, and adapt to challenges. Drive efficiency, innovation, and quality in technical deliverables.
