You will be working with babies through to preschool age children, helping them develop core skills by engaging them in fun and explorative activities. You will be working as part of a Nursery team who are passionate about outdoor learning and value the importance of creating a safe and nurturing environment for children.Hours, Salary & Benefits:Hours of work: 40 hours, 51 weeks a year. Mon – ThursContract type: Permanent, year round50% fee discount for the sessions your child attends on the days you work in the nurseryAccess to the group’s counselling scheme3 x days of paid CPD / training per year20 days holiday per year, rising by one day a year to a maximum of 25, for every year of employmentAccess to fully funded apprenticeships, up to L5Extra day off for birthdayPersonal accident at work coverStaff uniform providedReporting into: Nursery Manager/Deputy Manager, you will be expected to:Plan and deliver a range of age appropriate activities focusing on each individual child’s interestsMaintain the children’s development, progress & observation records with the support of the Room LeaderTo develop and maintain good relationships and communications with parents/guardians to fully integrate the children into the NurseryWork with all staff in promoting good staff practicesPerson specificationEssential skills:Interest in caring for, or working with children aged 0-5A confident communicator with excellent listening skillsA passion for delivering fun and creative activities suitable for early educationA positive approach to learning and gaining new skills through teamwork and training opportunitiesWilling to develop imaginative ideasEnthusiastic about the benefits of outdoor learningAbility to deal with sensitive issues and confidential informationWork alongside the Manager and staff team to ensure that the Nursery’s ethos is fulfilledFlexibility to occasionally work outside of normal working hours (Parent Open Days)Previous experience of working in a nursery or childcare environmentCompletion of a recognised Level 3 Childcare qualification, e.g. Level 3 Diploma for the Children & Young People’s Workforce, NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and DevelopmentWorking knowledge of the EYFS frameworkKnowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, child protection and child developmentExperience or an understanding of key worker principles and experience of recording and observationsKnowledge of the National Standards for the regulation of childcare provisionIf you need any assistance with applying for the role or further questions, please email Molly.Rees@Wishford.co.uk.Learning Curve Day Nursery is a nurturing and friendly day nursery in Royal Wootton Bassett for babies through to preschoolers.
