Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer – Facilities Department – Leeds – Permanent. The role involves maintaining, installing, and refurbishing fabric and equipment across GBS UK estates, monitoring building conditions, undertaking repairs and renovations, and assisting Estates and Facilities in planning refurbishment projects. The position may require travel to other GBS UK campuses and demands flexible working to accommodate business operations. Work schedule: 40‑hour week, Monday to Sunday 7:00 am–9:30 pm, with occasional out‑of‑hours work to minimise disruption. What The Role Involves Preventative and Reactive Maintenance Building and Equipment Maintenance Health, Safety, and Compliance Documentation and Inventory Management Refurbishment and Fit‑Out Projects Travel and Flexibility Experience and Skills Required 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification City & Guilds Level 2 and/or Level 3 in Electrical Installations, or equivalent NVQ, or demonstrable experience to the same standard. Previous experience in building maintenance including M&E systems. Manual skills, knowledge of refurbishment techniques. A flexible and proactive approach to work with a “can do” attitude. Familiarity with COSHH requirements for the equipment and chemicals being used. Interpersonal skill and ability to work on your own but also part of the facilities wider team.
