ABC Teachers is looking for skilled SEN Engagement Specialist to join a specialist SEN School in Birmingham on a full-time basis.
About the role:
Help pupils thrive by collaborating with class teachers to prepare engaging and inclusive classroom environments.
Build positive, professional relationships with students to gain a deep understanding of their individual and often complex needs, ensuring tailored support within the school environment.
Deliver tailored support through both small group work and 1:1 sessions, adapting your approach to suit individual learning styles and needs.
Monitor and assess student progress using a combination of home school assessments and robust baseline diagnostics, with the goal of minimising the impact of medical or emotional challenges on educational achievement.

About you:
To be considered for the skilled SEN Engagement Specialist position, you will:
Have previous experience working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs, such as learning difficulties, autism, and sensory needs.
Suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential.
Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students
Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
