BSL (British Sign Language) Teaching Assistant – £110–£130 per day
📍 Location: Greenwich
📅 Start Date: January 2026| Full-time, Term-Time Only
Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in British Sign Language (BSL)?
A welcoming and inclusive school in Greenwich is seeking a skilled BSL Teaching Assistant to support students with hearing impairments. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in students' lives by helping them access the curriculum and thrive in a mainstream school environment.
🧑🏫 Role Overview:
Provide in-class support to students who are deaf or have hearing loss
Use BSL to facilitate communication between students and teachers
Work 1:1 or in small groups to deliver targeted learning interventions
Support students’ social and emotional development
Collaborate with SENCOs, teachers, and external professionals ✅ Candidate Requirements:
Minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in BSL (British Sign Language)
Experience supporting children or young people with hearing impairments
Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
A positive, flexible approach and genuine passion for inclusive education
Experience in a school or educational setting is desirable but not essential 💷 What’s on Offer:
