We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Agricultural & Rural Sales Advisor to join our dynamic team at our OBAN Country Store. This full‑time position (with possible job share) is ideal for someone passionate about serving the rural and agricultural industry and who wants to assist with the day‑to‑day running of the country store while ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and promoting sales. About Us Every day we provide rural and agricultural communities with the support they need to succeed – from improving herd health to increasing yields and helping growers achieve better returns on their land. Carr’s Billington is a subsidiary of The Billington Group, which also owns Criddle & Co., English Provender Company and Billington Foods. Role Responsibilities Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring the warehouse is stocked, tidy, and customers are served efficiently. Maximise profitability through branch operations and telecommunications. Provide recommendations with integrity and deliver first‑rate solutions to internal and external customers. Exceed customer expectations by loading orders and performing manual handling duties safely. Support the branch in completing daily routine tasks, including warehouse and delivery duties, while remaining flexible to meet standards. Collaborate with branch staff to maintain smooth trading relationships. Assist in the day‑to‑day running of the country store, promoting and driving sales. Maintain adequate levels of stocked products in conjunction with the Branch Manager. Promote the company brand and uphold recognised business standards. Adhere to Company and Group policies, including Safety, Health and Environmental procedures. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and approved codes of practice, such as UFAS, FIAS, & NOPS assurance schemes. Essential Skills, Experience & Qualities Excellent customer service skills and appreciation for our customer base. Organised approach to work, capable of working independently. Knowledge of agriculture. Demonstrable experience working in a retail environment. Practical problem‑solving ability. Flexible work approach and willingness to take on additional responsibilities. Team player with a genuine interest in helping others. Desirable Full UK driving licence. AMTRA qualification (training can be provided). Competent user of Microsoft applications; fully IT literate.
