Salisbury, Wiltshire, United Kingdom M2P Engineering Full time

Want a better career, a real team and an employer you trust?

Get it done at M2P.

M2P was created to do engineering differently. To challenge and deliver better solutions to clients who value our expertise and how much we care. And it's worked.

Today, we're a market leader in engineering construction and fabrication services, specialising in heavy industrial structural, mechanical and piping (SMP) projects across Australia.

We're winning, but we're not sitting back. We've got our eyes on the future, and we're growing and expanding our service offering all the time.

This is your opportunity to build a solid, stable and rewarding career with a successful, forward-thinking business that treats its people well.

Join us as a Quality Lead, and help make our great business even better.

Your Opportunity

As our valued Quality Lead, you will play a vital role in overseeing our fabrication team and ensuring excellence across all projects within our quality function, spanning three workshops.

This is a diverse role with strong support available, while maintaining a non-micromanaged environment. The position comes with the authority to oversee this area of the business and offers significant input into its operations and decision-making.

This is an on-site role based at Salisbury where you'll leverage your technical and operational expertise to drive the growth of our structural, piping and plate fabrication projects.

You'll make an impact by:

  • Managing ISO 9001 compliance
  • Managing ISO 3834 compliance
  • IMS and Quality Plan delivery and compliance
  • Supply of technically compliant MDR's for each fabrication project
  • Ensuring compliance to achieve contract QA/QC requirements.
  • Applying knowledge, skills and other management techniques against project activities and technical requirements to meet the project requirements
  • Managing all Workshop resources (people, plant & equipment) regarding achieving quality compliances
  • Actively demonstrating compliance to M2P Safety and Environmental Plans.

What you'll bring

To succeed in this role, it requires someone who's right in the thick of the action. Projects can change in an instant, so being on-site and fully engaged with the team is essential. You will also have:

  • Relevant ISO Accreditation qualifications.
  • Welding Supervisors qualification (CSWIP 3.2, AS1796 Certificate 10 or similar)
  • Welding Inspectors qualifications (CSWIP 3.1, IWI-S or similar)
  • A minimum of five (5) years' post-qualification experience in related industry;
  • High level of interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written;
  • Computer skills – specifically around creation of technical documents required for compiling MDR.

Ideally, you will also have:

  • Recognised welding inspection qualifications
  • Relevant QA experience in a high-paced fabrication environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail
  • The skills and experience to be able to deal with conflicting priorities in a busy & fast-paced environment
  • A pro-active team player attitude with strong problem-solving capabilities.

Why M2P Engineering?

We've come a long way since starting out in 2017.

Right from the beginning, we brought a different approach to engineering construction in the mining, industrial and marine sectors. A better way, built on smarter thinking and real care – about the job, the client and the team.

So, what can you expect from a career with us?

Well, it's about three things:

●Work. The way it should be. We do so much: engineering, construction, fabrication, maintenance … the list goes on. And we do it well. Now, we're expanding into clean energy and investigating other services, which means more opportunities for you to gain experiences and knowledge you won't get elsewhere.

●Your career. The way it should be. There's no micromanagement here. At M2P, you can jump in and own it. Get stuck into a variety of interesting work, broaden your skillset, and build a rewarding career for the long run.

●A real team. The way it should be. The work we do isn't easy, but we rise to the challenge together. We're mates looking after mates. It's not all hugs and roses, but we take mental health seriously - and when the going gets tough, that's when we step up for you the most.

Ready for your career the way it should be?

Get it done at M2P.

At M2P, we appreciate the time and effort it takes to apply for a role. That's why we respond to all candidates, regardless of their application outcome.

M2P Engineering's success relies on a real team that brings together many different perspectives and experiences. We strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and people of all ages, genders, abilities and cultural backgrounds.
