Operations Supervisor – Dorset Waste Services Dorset Waste Services has a vacancy for an Operations Supervisor based at the Shaftesbury and Blandford Depots in Dorset. What You Will Be Doing In the role you will be expected to manage staff, including monitoring sickness absence and dealing with any disciplinary issues. Knowledge of relevant policies and procedures is beneficial. Ensure all activities are carried out to service standards and comply with all Health and Safety regulations; a good understanding of Health and Safety processes is required. You must be able to give instructions and have good communication and IT skills, as you will be dealing with Councillors and members of the public on a regular basis; local knowledge is also an advantage. This role is based at the Ferndown Depot but may be required to cover and provide support at other depots across the full Dorset Council area. The post holder will be expected to work 37 hours per week, covering early mornings, evenings, weekends and some bank holiday work. Flexibility for additional hours is required.
