Your Day‑to‑Day Will Include Enhancing and optimising existing Python scripts to deliver better performance and scalability. Modernising legacy technologies in C++ & PHP into Python, breathing new life into our existing systems. Driving Agile delivery, contributing to regular sprints and actively participating in ceremonies that keep us aligned and moving forward. Mentoring and coaching fellow engineers, helping shape a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence. Who are we looking for? Your in‑depth and current commercial Python skills, along with your drive to keep up to date with the latest technologies and techniques, will be key to your success in this role. Your communication skills allow you to bridge the gap between technical detail and business needs, ensuring clarity and alignment at every stage. Technical Environment Python software engineering, AWS, Docker, MariaDB, Jira, Azure DevOps Git repositories and pipelines, and Agile. Additional Information This role may involve on‑call working on a rota basis (24/7). To be successful in this role you may be required to pass an enhanced security vetting process.
