Role Overview This HGV driver role involves working directly for our customer, on contract. Our customer will be your point of contact for all operational work; however, we will be your point of contact should you have any issues with the truck or what the customer is asking of you. We are looking for experienced multi‑drop drivers ONLY. These HGV roles are independent and ideal for drivers that like to think for themselves. London driving will be a part of this job. Key Responsibilities Ensure all pallets are secured, and your tachograph and vehicle checks are legal each day. Work 11‑hour days with 5/6 am starts, Monday‑Friday, with no nights out. Some days you may work 9‑10 hours; if you work over 11 hours you are paid overtime. If you return to the depot after completing your run and the customer asks you to do something further within your 11 hours, you will be expected to carry out this work (this is not regular but worth mentioning). Communication is key; preparation of routing and load positioning is essential to achieving the workload with minimal disruption. Perform palletised transport work, doing multiple deliveries or collections per day to commercial premises across Essex, Kent, London and other areas in the Southeast. Daily routine: put your card in, conduct walk‑round checks, go to the office to get consignments for the day, head down to your allocated bay in the warehouse, check your load against consignment notes, secure the load as necessary, then commence driving. Requirements Experienced multi‑drop HGV driver. Valid HGV licence. Good communication, routing, and load positioning skills.
